Evening folks, ladies.
For the past couple of days, I've been stuck in some kind of loophole with 1.13, restarting over, and over, and over, and over, and yet I just can't figure out what to do better. Love this game, but total randomness is starting to kill it...
First time out there, I went with 1 AIM (deputy/athletic) and Fox and the dumb soviet guy with the repair box. Helicopter landed, dropped bags and started taking positions, only to have AIM merc AND the dumb soviet head shotted by a noob recruit with a handgun at 16 tiles distance while I couldn't hit anything at 5 tiles distance with a H&K SMG even with increased aim (took 3 shot!!), max DEX, AGI and 75 MRKSMAN.
Went: "ooook"...and started again....and again..and again...
2 days later, I learned a lot, but still can't handle much. Heck, I even started with 6 AIMs, ultra specialised, all capped out gunners and yet, random recruit noob still cap me at INSANE range (I'm talking like 20 tiles away, throught a window, while I'm kneeled) with the lamest of all guns while I can't hit anything further than 10 tiles away with a reliable chance with a Colt MK4.
I know that sometimes, since they have more troops, it "seems" they hit more. But I swear I've been taking every single shot possible with my own guns and if something is past "range", I just never hit, doesn't happen (or hit someone when they are packed or something)
The good news is that I learned the hard way to use terrain, have always a team mate cover, tag-partner to move forward and retreat but these guns hitting for insane range is just..stupid (I don't mind when it's rifle, etc, but for some reason, I handle that better!)
So, my question is: why are enemies able to hit from so far away with lame guns, heck, how come they can even shoot at something that far!? Anything can be done about it (even tweaking mod/ini itself)?
