1) I see that there are quite a few different VFS-mods to choose from in the INI-editor. What are the differences between them? Couldn't find any information about it...

2) Are there any map-mods that are easy to use with this mod? Not much of a fan of UC (sorry! :-) )

TY for your time and attention and also a huge TY to the creators of these mods. happy

Mods that use vanilla items should work fine as far as I know - NightOps mappack or TypeP mod, for example.

They just change weapons/items used by enemies and militia, so if you select Russia for example, Arulcan army will use mostly warsaw pact weapons, AKs and so.

Wildfire maps work pretty much out of the box, they contain Ja2Set.dat.AFS which you need to use instead of the default one. Only problem is, AFS moves around a lot of stuff in Items.xml, so many items found on maps will be kinda nonsensical or straight out NADAs (eg. some kind of rocket launcher has the index number that rag uses in vanilla, so you'll be finding quite a bit of them as rags are relatively common on WF maps).

And there will be problems with enemy equipment for soldiers that have specific weapons\armour set in map editor.
