Currently AZ75 is working on a few maps.
I shared my mod folder, my profiles one and my mod vfs config. They all are up to date and flawlessly working on my PC, but NOT on AZ's one.
He has the correct 1.13 game version and entered the correct INI editor settings

for the record
mod: vfs_config.LaIslaDeLosMuertos
start executable file: ja2 mapeditor.exe
ini file: Data-LIDM)Ja2_Options.INI

Now, am I supposed to share more files/folders? Afaik the starting cutscene can crash the game, but that happens before you get to the main menu.
I must point out that months ago AZ could run the game/editor no prob.
Any ideas about the crash issue?

EDIT: Anybody willing to download the current mod and try to run both the mapper and the game? If so please send a private message, thanks.

Do you happen to have an Nvidia GPU? I was tracking a similar kind of issue for another user on Discord and the only thing I could figure out back then was that for some reason, during game initialization the guiRenderbuffer was not set correctly and then it would error out on that exact same assertion line. It checks whether the destination we're about to copy pixel data to is not a nullptr, if it is the assertion error is raised. The only difference we could find between my setup and his was that I have a full AMD machine and he had Nvidia and Intel.

Unfortunately the Blt16BPPTo16BPP function is called in several places in the code and it's gone deep enough that there isn't really any useful info I could add to be printed when the assertion is hit. I could try to encapsulate the calls into a another function that would allow us to get a better error message.

And I have an IdeaPad 3 Lenovo laptop, with a processor Amd Athlon 315OU with Radeeon Graphics 2.40 HZ, 4GB RAM. Runs 1.13 latest with no problem, but not the mod.
